RL Grime Announces His Album Is Done With Melodic, Vibrant New Single "I Wanna Know" Ft. Daya

rl grime

Trap music staple RL Grime took the hype for his forthcoming Nova album to a new level this week with an announcement that the album has been completed and the surprise release of brand new song with Daya called “I Wanna Know”. RL Grime has been relatively quiet on the release front since he dropped three impressive singles off Nova last fall but he spent the winter giving fans a taste of his amazing unreleased music like this gritty ID from his live set at Something Wicked.

“I Wanna Know” is another glimpse into the new sound that RL is exploring on what is shaping up to be an incredibly diverse album. The production remains low-key for much of the first verse, leaving plenty of room for Daya’s vibrant vocals before the buildup introduces a smooth, rumbling bass that adds to the track’s energy. As drums and chords layer to drive the track forward an electric guitar riff creeps up from the background and seizes the listener’s attention in an explosion of colorful energy.

RL Grime and Daya also co-directed a dynamic lyric video to accompany the song. It’s filled with easter eggs from the artist’s private lives and public performances and fosters an energetic, youthful vibe. Be sure to check it out below. Enjoy!

Alison Wonderland Shares 27 Remixes Of "Messiah" With M-Phazes In One Seamless TeamSupreme Mix

Near the end of 2016, Alison Wonderland shared her "Messiah" collaboration with M-Phazes. The original track comes packed with energy and is driven by crisp percussion, an infectious vocal melody and a pluck-based bassline. She recently teamed up with TeamSupreme to host a remix competition for the single and has now compiled her favorites into one awesome 30-minute mix.

"I teamed up with @beatteamsupreme to give producers the chance to flip my latest single with M-PHAZES, "Messiah." 300+ producers sent back 1-min remixes and TeamSupreme mixed together 27 of the best ones from unknown bedroom producers and some special guests including AWE, swindail, Slumberjack, great dane & a snippet of Lidos new remix." -- Alison Wonderland

At the very end of the mix, you'll hear Lido's incredible remix of the song. He sings on the track as well and simply nails it. We wish it wasn't only a small clip, but hopefully he'll release the full version soon. Stay tuned and enjoy!

Listen To Herobust's Insanely Unique 6-Track 'Vertebreaker' EP

Herobust Press Shot black white

At the beginning of 2017, Hayden Kramer a.k.a. Herobust told fans, "New Year. New EP. New Tour." The big announcement was shortly followed by the title track of his Vertebreaker EP and we were seriously impressed. A couple weeks later, he dropped a heavy hybrid trap single called "Dirt Heater Tea" and delivered once again. Herobust has continually put out quality, forward-thinking productions that continually push the boundaries of bass music, making him one of our favorites to cover at TSIS.

His six-track Vertebreaker EP is now available in it's entirety and doesn't disappoint in the slightest.

"It goes hard at the rave. It goes hard in the whip. I always try to push the boundaries of bass music, but this time I really wanted the rap vibes to shine through as well. For those of us who think EDM has been missing some swag, the answer is here - the Vertebreaker EP." - Herobust

Herobust puts his vocals to the test on this project and does a great job. In "Heavy Meddle", he blends metal and dubstep into one filthy track. The ground seems to literally shake in "Move Mint" and incorporates metallic bass synths. "Status Busted" is one of the most interesting track off the project though as he creates this incredibly vivid space scene with tinny, robotic elements and blips.

At the beginning of last year, Herobust dropped his I'm Aloud EP on Mad Decent which consisted of eight epic dubstep and trap tracks. We're glad to see him turnaround another amazing EP in early 2017 and feel he's just getting started. Stream the Vertebreaker EP below and let us know what you think of it in the comment section. Enjoy!
