Louis The Child & Wafia Bring The Summer Vibes On Melodic New Song "Better Not"

Louis the child wafia

Louis The Child are always staying busy... very busy. The young duo just shared a uplifting new song "Better Not" featuring the alluring vocals of Wafia, and it works perfect. This follows up their recent collaboration with Joey Purp, hearing the duo take a more hard-hitting direction for the must hear hip-hop collaboration.

They just launched their new "Playground" radio show recently and are playing Coachella tomorrow, so to celebrate they've shared a new song that builds on their already impressive discography. They have a knack for crafting some of the most infectious, chill songs and put this on full display here. They have a bright sound, with glitchy swirling melodies placed alongside steel drums and Wafia's dreamy voice in the best way possible. Keep an eye on the TSIS Instagram this weekend as the guys will be taking it over for their Coachella set. Enjoy!

Mr Carmack Delivers Refreshing Remix Of Ta-Ku & Wafia’s “Love Somebody”

Carmack Ta-Ku Side By Side

While Mr. Carmack has relatively quiet in recent months, the experimental producer is back with a fresh new remix of Ta-Ku & Wafia’s "Love Somebody" that follows new additions to his Yellow EP and his cover collaboration of Rihanna’s "James Joint" with Jarreau Vandal.

The original version of "Love Somebody" appeared on Ta-Ku & Wafia’s collaborative (m)edian EP where we heard Ta-Ku singing on his own tracks. Carmack has re-interpreted the track's production by adding new energy with his bubbly sound design and lush melodies. He once again shows off his versatility as a producer with a relatively tame sound here. Enjoy!

Ta-Ku - American Girl ft. Wafia : Downtempo / Indie

One of Australia’s premier beatmakers, Ta-Ku has done things a little differently on this latest release. Inspired by the soundtrack of a Kobe Bryant highlight video, he decided to recreate his own rendition of Estelle and Kanye’s easily recognizable “American Boy,” and named his version “American Girl.” This emotion-evoking track brings sensual crooning over a piano based instrumental with echoing synth melodies that can immediately be identified as belonging to Ta-Ku. Not only does he offer his production abilities, but he’s "mustered enough courage to jump on” the first verse with his own vocals as holds his own on this lovely duet with female vocalist Wafia. We’re interested to see if he starts to incorporate more of his vocals in his tracks, but for now enjoy this one!
