Zeds Dead's Label Signee Nebbra Impresses With Debut Four-Track 'You' EP

Zeds Dead Nebbra

Get familiar with Nebbra, the rising French producer who just dropped his debut EP, You, on Zeds Dead's Deadbeat imprint. Last week, he teased us with the title track of the project and it immediately caught our attention. His precision when it comes to sound design, energy and melodies is quite impressive.

Outside of "You", the up-and-comer embraces atypical drum patterns and bold synth selections on "Fire Away", "Gladiator" and "On The Moon". The genre-blending productions incorporate sultry melodies and dark ambient layers to give the project a cohesive sonic theme. Listen to Nebbra's EP below and enjoy!

Zeds Dead Debuts First Artist On Their Label With Nebbra & His Song "You"

Zeds Dead has been everywhere lately. Following the launch of their Deadbeats label and the release of their impressive Northern Lights album, the Canadian duo has recruited up-and-comer Nebbra for his introductory EP. The French producer is the first artist to release on Deadbeats other than Zeds Dead themselves.

"The homie Nebbra has been crushing it on tour with us for these last few dates and he just released the first track from his new EP on our DeadBeats label!" -- Zeds Dead

The lead single to come off his four-track You EP is the title track and it's absolute fire. The production features the smooth vocals of Mike Sabbath whose voice is overlaid with filtered percussion, bell melodies and a punchy bassline. The EP is expected to be released in its entirety on Nov. 4. Until then, stream "You" below and enjoy!

Zeds Dead Shares Impressive 15 Track Debut Album 'Northern Lights'

Zeds Dead Northern Lights

Zeds Dead's debut album, Northern Lights, has finally arrived! The Canadian duo first announced the LP back in Sept. 2015 and followed up with the major news of their Deadbeats record label this past past March. Since then, hype behind the album grew greater and greater with the reveal of each single.

Prior the full album release, Zeds Dead had shared a diverse collection of tracks off the project including "Back Home" feat. Freddie Gibbs, "Blame" with Diplo and Elliphant, "Frontlines" with NGHTMRE, and "Too Young" feat. Pusha T and Weezer's Rivers Cuomo. The duo said the following back in March with respect to the album:

"So we've been in the studio every day working on new music for the album...In a lot of ways this has been 5 years in the making, We're taking our time to make it our absolute best and its close! One of the wild things we've realized in making this album and digging through our back catalogue is how much unheard music we've got on deck...and we want you to know, we're going to get it to you on the album and after and we can't wait for you to hear it, we want to just play it all for you now...we've been dropping some records in our sets so keep your ears open at our shows."

Northern Lights tops off at 15 tracks long and is an impressive body work that not only showcases their versatility as producers, but their willingness to push the boundaries of electronic music and collaborate with artists who thrive in a very different musical lane.
