Zeds Dead Drop Lollapalooza 2017 Live Set For Deadbeats Radio Episode 8

Zeds Dead Lolla

Zeds Dead absolutely destroyed with their set at Lollapalooza and for those who couldn’t be there to witness it, they’ve released the last hour of their set as a special edition of Deadbeats Radio for Episode 8. Spanning dubstep, drum and bass, trap, house, and more this mix covers pretty much everything and includes a ton of music from Zeds Dead.

Zeds Dead start the mix off with their future house collaboration with Oliver Heldens, “You Know,” and mix it into Skrillex and Habstrakt’s recent track “Chicken Soup.” Things pick up as they drop crowd favorite “Collapse” and mix in a series of dubstep bangers from artists such as Borgore and Trampa. Zeds Dead raise the tempo for a drum and bass section, which includes their tune “Me No Care.” They bring Lollapalooza founder and Jane’s Addiction lead singer Perry Farrell on stage to sing live on their track “Blink” and end with their recent collaboration with Illenium “Where The Wild Things Are.”

In true Zeds Dead fashion, they also make sure to throw in some classic dance and hip-hop tracks on the way. There are too many good tunes to name here, so these are just some that stood out to us. Check out Deadbeats Radio Episode 8 below, and hear for yourself. Enjoy!

Zeds Dead And Illenium Team Up For Epic Collaboration “Where The Wild Things Are”

Zeds Dead and Illenium’s massive new collaboration is here! Zeds Dead has kept the anticipation high for the release, teasing the song at the end of their epic Dead Rocks set at the beginning of July. Today the wait for the collab, titled “Where The Wild Things Are,” is finally over, and it’s everything we expected from the producers and more.

Although Zeds Dead and Illenium have a noticeably different signature these days, “Where The Wild Things Are” allows both of their styles to shine through. The song starts slow with a somber guitar melody and haunting vocal lead in, moving into a build that’s bursting with energy. The first drop is where Zeds Dead’s dubstep influence shows, utilizing warbling synths, intense bass and heavy percussion. This flows into a bridge, with the second half of the drop showcasing Illenium’s more melodic, future bass style. This sort of alternation continues throughout, with each genre blending seamlessly together. Check out the massive collaboration below and enjoy!

Zeds Dead Drop New Mix For ‘DEADBEATS RADIO' Episode 4

zd radio 4

It’s been a little over a year since Zeds Dead launched their Deadbeats record label, and their momentum has continued to grow. As it stands, the duo has been increasingly busy with their own shows and releases, including their recent remix of their own track “Slow Down” and their upcoming collaboration with Illenium. Somehow, they’ve managed to run their Deadbeats label on top of this, with a huge, talent-filled roster consisting of Nebbra, Champagne Drip, Kid Froopy, and more.

As with the previous installments of Deadbeats Radio, “Deadbeats Radio #004” is curated and mixed by Zeds Dead and consists of releases on Deadbeats as well as some of their favorite songs right now. In true Zeds Dead fashion, this session maintains a heavy and energetic vibe overall; however, the “Dead Heat” segment of the mix, in which they play their favorite song of the week, consists of a light hearted stripped-down, electronic-infused country song from Branchez and Big Wet.

“Deadbeats Radio #004” spans dubstep, drum and bass, house, hip-hop, and trap and covers artists such as Mt Eden, Odd Mob, Bar9, Drake, and even Chemical Brothers. Essentially, there’s a little something for everyone here, but it all fits together seamlessly. Check out the full mix and tracklist below and enjoy!
