ZHU Links Up With OVO's Majid Jordan For Extra Chill New Electronic R&B Song "Coming Home"

zhu majid jordan

ZHU has been on fire this year and just keeps the new music coming. He's back once again this week with “Coming Home” featuring OVO’s Majid Jordan and it's just sooo smooth. So far this year, ZHU has shared his latest project  Ringo’s Desert Pt. 1, his “My Life” collab with Tame Impala, a Remixes of “Cola” by CamelPhat & Elderbrook as well as a remix of Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa.

ZHU has been teasing something new recently and seems like the second part of his album is on the way with this new one. ZHU takes things in a slower direction on this one with spacey synths and rolling drums while Majid’s lush R&B vocals highlight much of the song with the signature ZHU vocals coming in on the chorus. Stay tuned for more and enjoy!

ZHU and Tame Impala put out one of the best songs all year and just dropped the powerful visuals to accompany the hit. The video starts Willow Smith, Will Smith’s daughter who is a singer and actress herself. Along with “My Life,” ZHU also put out a new album Ringo’s Desert Pt. 1 and it’s just the sound we wanted from the TSIS favorite. Be sure to catch ZHU on tour as well. Enjoy!

Listen To ZHU’s Surprise "Blacklizt" Techno Set From Coachella This Year

zhu coachella blacklizt set

If you’ve been a fan of electronic music over the past few years, then there’s a good chance you’ve had the opportunity to catch ZHU live, either at city stop or on the festival circuit. Although the obscure, enigmatic artist has recently just announced a full North American tour following the release of his latest acclaimed album, Ringo’s Desert Pt. 1, ZHU is already finding a way to switch things up. During a surprise appearance at the Do LaB stage at Coachella this year, ZHU threw down a “Blacklizt” set. The differences between a standard ZHU set and a Blacklizt set haven’t been made explicitly clear, but based on what we’ve heard and seen so far, it sounds like Blacklizt is ZHU’s techno persona.

Throughout the entire set, we can hear different unidentifiable techno remixes of classic ZHU tracks like “Working For It,” “Automatic,” “Intoxicate,” “In The Morning,” and plenty more. The music sounds like unmistakable ZHU, but in a way we’ve never heard before, and quite frankly, we’re loving every bit of it. During the second half of the Blacklizt set, ZHU transitions into tracks that we’re more familiar with, ultimately concluding some heavier sounds like his collab with Ekali.

This is the first actual full listen of ZHU’s Blacklizt project that we’ve been able to get our hands on, and we can only hope for more. There’s only one official scheduled “Blacklizt” date in the future, and it’ll be during Splash House in Palm Springs, California, which takes place June 8-10.

In the meantime, do yourself a favor and listen to the even darker side of ZHU, with this full stream of his surprise Blacklizt set at Coachella. Enjoy!
