ZHU Shares Dark House Single "Nightcrawler" + Announces 'The Blacklizt'

zhu

A few days ago, ZHU uploaded a video to Instagram with the caption, "join the Blacklizt". By the end of the minute-long, black and white video, a list of eight crossed-out names on a casket were shown including acts like Marshmello, The Chainsmokers and more. After the first listen through, we had a good feeling that  ZHU was not only making a statement, but teasing new music of his. Our hunch was right as he now shares "Nightcrawler", a moody house tune that incorporates dark ambient pads and a bouncy bassline.

The beauty of "Nightcrawler" is in it's layering, gradually adding on new elements like bright orchestral strings, crisp percussion, soft piano keys and ZHU's smooth vocals alongside vocal samples. Beyond the song, the meaning behind it is what we're still wondering about. He announced THE BLACKLIZT today, but has yet to reveal exactly what the announcement is all about. Whether it be a new EP, album or events, you can plug in your phone number to his new website, www.blacklizt.club, where updates will be provided. Stay tuned for more details and in the meantime, listen to "Nightcrawler" below. Enjoy!

ZHU Calls Out Other Producers In Video Teasing New Song

ZHU Live Shot

ZHU has always been known for keeping fans on their toes with his mysterious rollout plans and hits us with a surprise once again, this time in the form of a new black and white video. We're assuming the music in the background is ZHU's next single given its dark house style.

In the video, we see a group of people carrying a casket to a cemetery in the middle of a night. Soon after, a car pulls up to the scene. Each person is holding a rose and places it on the casket. The camera then reveals what's written on the casket. There's a list of eight names crossed out including Marshmello, Kygo, The Chainsmokers and more.

It's essentially the mainstream names that have come from electronic music. ZHU's music and brand has always had a underground feeling to it so it's interesting to see him put out a bold video like this that calls out these acts. Stay tuned for more details as we have a new ZHU single on our hands soon. Watch the video below and enjoy!

ZHU Officially Drops Incredible Remix Of Migos' "Bad & Boujee" [Free Download]

zhu x migos

After ZHU played out his unreleased remix of Migos' viral single "Bad & Boujee" at Air + Style in LA, we've been anxiously awaiting and wondering if and when he'd drop it. Luckily for us and all ZHU fans, he released the remix today in its full quality.

He pitches down the original track's vocals and layers them with a tough bassline, dark tones and a catchy lead melody that brings it all home. In the second half of the record, ZHU sings atop the smooth production with his beautiful falsetto vocals. While we didn't expect a "Bad & Boujee" remix coming from ZHU, we are pleasantly surprised and glad he released it. Listen to it below and enjoy!
