Most of us know the often wonderful experience of attending a music festival. Some of us spend all of our disposable income trying to go to as many as we can. Glastonbury, which takes place over the course of five days in Somerset, England, is often considered to be the biggest festival stage in the world for many musicians. Knowing the importance of this festival, artists and bands pull out all the stops to create the most memorable performances they can.
This year, Glastonbury hosted hundreds of acts and hundreds of thousands of attendees. BBC Music was also in attendance, documenting dozens of sets from their unfathomable lineup. Over the past few days, they’ve been uploading highlights from these sets, and the videos are something to behold. There are already over 120 uploads on their channel, giving us glimpses into the beautiful scenes unfolding at the festival.
We’ve combed through these videos to find our favorites, and have compiled them into a curated list, specifically for TSIS readers. You can check out our selection of these clips below, featuring 20 magical performances from Glastonbury this year. They include performances from Glass Animals, Bonobo, Four Tet, Khruangbin, Kendrick Lamar, Paul McCartney, and many more. Enjoy!
