Parisian producer Aazar has steadily built his repertoire over the years with energetic tracks catered to the bass music scene such as "Shake" with UZ and "Pop Dat" with 4B, but now pivots towards a lighter aesthetic with his new release, "Gyal." "After Pop Dat, I wanted a different track that sounds more musical," he says, "something perfect for summer."
The tropical production lands on Record Record, a label he co-founded with fellow French act Alesia. While "Gyal" may stand out in contrast to Aazar's recent efforts, its fusion with hip-hop is actually reminiscent of his very early works under the moniker.
