AC Slater Delivers Impressive 11-Track Debut Album ‘Outsiders’

||

LA-based heavyweight AC Slater has undoubtedly carved a niche for himself within bass music; his somewhat underground imprint, Night Bass, has drawn a loyal following from coast to coast since its humble beginnings in 2014. Most notable about the artist is that he’s done it all without dropping a single album – until now, that is. His debut LP, Outsiders, is finally here, and it’s an incredible offering jam-packed with gritty basslines, an eclectic mix of subgenres and an overall gripping production that only AC himself could pull off.

The full project follows the release of three singles that have each turned heads in their own right: “Dealer” with Tchami, “Dope Slinger” with Chris Lorenzo and, most recently, “All About Paper.” The other eight tracks that join these releases live up to and surpass expectation. AC pays homage to all of the genres Night Bass seeks to celebrate, such as house, grime, UK garage and more, and dips into other more mainstream genres like hip-hop and deep house, as well. Between the abrasive basslines of “Jaws” with Acid Mouth to the intoxicating 4/4 drumline and fast-paced vocals of “Big Riddim,” Outsiders will keep you moving from start to finish. Check it out below. Enjoy!
