ADOY is an electronic indie group that started out making songs in one member’s DIY home studio and quickly catapulted to the top of the Korean music charts. Last week, they released “Baby”, their first work since their 2019 album. It’s a shimmering track that explores the intermingling of souls when you fall for someone.
The track has easy and breezy instrumentation that has a little bit of a subdued retro rock feel to it, with groovy keys and a strumming bass guitar. When vocalist Oh Ju-hwan comes in, he wistfully sings over the production, creating a dreamy sense of nostalgic, lo-fi bliss. All the parts work together in an arrangement that gives off summer pool party vibes.
You can take a listen to the song below. Enjoy!
