Alison Wonderland is getting ready for her highly anticipated forthcoming album, AWAKE and has just shared one of the tracks we're most excited about. This time around the Aussie has linked up with quickly rising rapper Trippie Redd on "High" as we've been loving Trippie lately with his unique melodic take on the new hip-hop sound.
Alison recently shared album singles "No", "Church" and "Happy Place" before sharing this new one. Alison is always keeping us on our toes with each of her singles sounding different from the last. Here she lays the brooding foundation of shimmering chords, rolling synths and punching drums while Trippie's melodies take the focus until the breakdown around 2 minutes in where she combines skittering percussion with hard-hitting 808s and creeping, ominous synths to close out the experimental single. The video shows the two getting high until the drop when they get sent into a trippy cartoon world. See the music video below and enjoy!
