Kanye West – All of the Lights (Ft. Rihanna, Elton John, Fergie, Kid Cudi): Sick Must Hear Song and My Thoughts on Yeezy

So not sure how many of you guys actually hate on Kanye, but as you may have noticed I am pretty big fan and have posted a good amount of him on the site. And yes he's a little cocky, and I'm not saying he has the right to be, but he has done so much for modern hip-hop that the majority of people don't realize. For one he produced far before he started rapping including the majority of Jay-Z's album The Blueprint, that some say redefined hip-hop on top of also producing hit singles for Talib Kweli, Cam'ron, Common, Mobb Deep, The Game, Alicia Keys, Janet Jackson, John Legend among others all before starting his own rap career. He couldn't get signed by the labels originally because he didn't potray the "street image" that was popular in hip-hop culture, instead he was a more artistic producer which they didn't see marketable. But as most of you can see the "street image" is almost extinct in the mainstream and the rising stars are more educated rappers with meaningful lyrics like Kid Cudi, Wale, and B.o.B. to name a few who all have huge influences from West. In my opinion Kanye West has been ahead of his time for awhile, and now the world is ready for his newest album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy which is out today. It's some of the sickest most articulated lyrics I've heard from a mainstream artist on top of some of the sickest beats. I also think it was very smart for Kanye to adapt the most modern music distribution and released tracks every friday  via G.O.O.D. Fridays, including several tracks actually on the album to build hype for the release, which has built an enormous amount of buzz. I've already posted Monster (ft. Jay-Z), Devil In a New Dress (ft. Rick Ross), Runaway (ft. Pusha T), So Appalled (ft. Jay-Z, Pusha T), and Gorgeous (ft. Kid Cudi), and because I really think you should but it you enjoy the songs you've heard, I'm only going to post one more off the album; it's called 'All of the Lights' and it features the most insane lineup I've ever seen on a single song; featuring Rihanna, Alicia Keys, Fergie, The-Dream, Ryan Leslie, Elton John, Charlie Wilson, Kid Cudi, John Legend, Tony Williams & Elly Jackson. Sick is and understatement for the beat on this song, it's bass filled electronic/hip-hop beat that's really unique. I never write this long, I just feel that Kanye West has, and continues to shape the hip-hop culture, if not the entire American mainstream music for the better. What's your opinion on Kanye? How do you think this album will do? Enjoy!
