Apple has just announced a brand new music discovery feature that will change the way you find live shows. The Apple Music Guide will highlight live music events and shows in 40 cities across the globe.
Fans will be able to browse venues’ upcoming shows directly from Maps through Shazam’s new concert discovery module. All you need to do is choose your city and the Apple Music Guide will suggest events based on genres such as hip-hop, dance, jazz, rock, and more.
The cities currently included on the guide include NYC, LA, Chicago, Detroit, Nashville, San Francisco, London, Paris, Berlin, Tokyo, Sydney, Melbourne, and Mexico City.
Apple’s new initiative is definitely a game changer when it comes to discovering live music. This is especially useful for travelers, local concert aficionados, and everything in between. As the guide and usage grow, it’s only a matter of time before it comes to your city making music discovery that much more accessible.
