Baauer is entering another new era of his musical adventure. At least—that’s what he announced last week in addition to music. Today that release arrives, and it’s a beaming, nostalgic house anthem titled “Let Me Love U.”
While Baauer’s versatility reached its zenith on his previous album PLANET’S MAD back in 2020, he seems to be already exploring new ways to broaden his sound. “Let Me Love U” is a bit more straight-forward, leaning into a disco vibe at points, but keeps the energy level high with some familiar ravey synths and piano chords. This is a direction we’ve yet to see from Baauer, who originally won the world over with his trap-heavy tracks more than a decade ago.
This release comes with a funny and wholesome music video of Baauer creeping around New York City with his boom mic, presumably to collect sounds to use in his music. You can watch it below. Enjoy!
