BADBADNOTGOOD Return to Their Jazz Roots on Brilliant New Album ‘Talk Memory’

Of all the countless bands that exist in today’s musical climate, none do it quite like BADBADNOTGOOD. The Canadian outfit has unearthed a unique sound, cleverly connecting jazz and hip-hop ever since its inception. Since then they’ve gone back and forth with their approach, sometimes releasing projects strictly focused on hip-hop, and others that display their amazing instrumental capabilities. Their most recent album, Talk Memory, which dropped October 8, marks a brilliant return to their jazz roots, with their signature forward-thinking tone.

Talk Memory runs eight tracks deep, but each number serves as a storied journey. With immersive soundscapes, the project ends up with a runtime of just over 42 minutes. For those of you looking for hip-hop here, we recommend keeping an open mind. You won’t find it, but instead, you may discover something you never knew you enjoyed. BADBADNOTGOOD’s style of jazz is inviting, creating space for you to step inside a world that’s entirely their own.

Some of the compositions contained within this album are nothing short of breathtaking.
