Proven to be innovative, dynamic, and fearless; Big Wild is an artist that falls within this category. In partnership with Foreign Family Collective and celebrated film studio, The Yazuki, Big Wild has released an audio-visual art piece titled "Ascension".
In less than three minutes, the visuals in Ascension portray an eerie depiction of a world in which technology is necessary to produce life. Big Wild’s dramatic audio pairing is a testament to his sophisticated production and sound design capabilities. When combined, the result is a powerful deliverable that fits nicely into Foreign Family’s repertoire of content that proves commitment to the progression of electronic music.
“This art piece tells the story of an advanced society that’s become so mechanized and ruled by technology that it’s neglected the natural environment, which it in turn has to now rebuild. The painful irony of this situation brings to question our infatuation with technology and an increasing detachment from the natural world. We wanted to create our own world and convey a simple but powerful message. I really wanted to experiment musically and collaborate with visual artists to create something unique. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!” – Big Wild
