Music Legend Bill Withers Has Passed Away At 81

It is with an extremely heavy heart that we share that one of music’s most influential artists, Bill Withers, has passed away at the age of 81 years old.  The genius behind timeless classics like “Ain’t No Sunshine,” “Lovely Day,” “Lean On Me,” and “Use Me” passed away on Monday, March 30 as a result of heart complications according to the Associated Press.

Having been dealt a heavy hand early in life, the late great singer-songwriter took up music in his 20’s. After catching the ear of prominent black music executive, Clarence Avant, Withers signed a record deal and went on to record seven studio albums.
