Bonobo And Nick Murphy (Chet Faker) Team Up On Refreshing Single “No Reason”

With Bonobo’s highly anticipated upcoming album Migration less than a week away, he’s shared a new single "No Reason" featuring Nick Murphy, who’s formerly known as Chet Faker.

The LP is shaping up to be some of his best work to date and includes other incredible singles "Break Apart" featuring Rhye and "Kerala". With Nick Murphy switching to go by his birth name, he’s taken a more indie and less pop route with his vocals while maintaining the same level of soulfulness.

This chill house tune keeps a rolling, dance-driven bassline as Bonobo builds layers of atmospheric instrumentation as the perfect match with Murphy's vocals. This collab came after the two longtime friends were discussing a shared love for disco and began going through demos together. Murphy was actually recently a guest on Bonobo's Outlier Radio 003 mix as well. They uploaded a full 7.5 minute version as well as a shortened 4 minute edit. Stream both below and stay tuned for Migration on Jan. 13 and enjoy!
