Coming off the success of his recent studio album Migration, Bonobo delivers additional new music that is equally impressive. He has uploaded a three track EP titled Bambro Koyo Ganda that includes the track “Bambro Koyo Ganda” which was previously included on Migration. However, the EP also includes a new analog version of “Bambro Koyo Ganda” as well as an entirely new track titled “Samurai”. The package was released with help from London based label, Ninja Tune, and solidifies why Bonobo is one of the best in the game.
The original version of “Bambro Koyo Ganda” that we know and love revolves around tribal sounding vocals courtesy of Innov Gnawa. The analog version maintains the focus on the vocals but offers a more authentic instrumentalist rendition that is a bit more hypnotic and drawn-out than the original. The third new track on the EP “Samurai” is a classic Bonobo cut that sends listeners into a daze. It’s composed of elongated female vocal accents and signature Bonobo sounds that are constantly progressing throughout the duration of the track to make something special.
With the release of this mini-package, Bonobo has also announced new fall tour dates which can be seen below. Enjoy!
