There's a strange feeling in the air today. A feeling that can only mean one thing on this specific Friday, marking the end of the second to last week of April… That’s right – the wait is over for new music from Boogie T! And today we’re pumped to have the pleasure of bringing you the premiere of Boogie’s brand new single “'Til The Joint Rolled” which actually launches Boogie's new label, Drama Club.
Having ended 2017 with his highly-anticipated Soul'd Out EP and now coming off a recent feature on Ganja White Night’s new album, we’ve definitely been looking forward to some new original music from the Louisiana-based bass/funk producer. Characterized by shrill wobbles, heavy, pulsing bass, funky synth riffs and hard-hitting percussion, this latest is packed with the unique production we’ve come to love from Boogie T while delivering some incredibly catchy, reggae-inspired vocals.
“I’ve been sitting on this one for a while and finally finished it. I wanted to showcase the different elements that come along with Boogie T: singing and the guitar work with hints of R&B undertones.” – Boogie T
“Drama Club the label name is also a play on words. There’s so much drama in the music industry that sometimes I want to poke at the irony of it al… kind of like “2KFO”. But really I’m excited to teach people about different kinds of music and introduce them to things they probably didn’t even know they’d love. I’ll shut up now… the music will do the talking.” – Boogie T
Paired with an incredibly trippy video courtesy of Kooz, this one really couldn’t have dropped on a better day. Make the most of your 4/20 by checking out “'Til The Joint Rolled”, out now on Drama Club Recordings below and enjoy!
