Self-proclaimed “Compton house” producer, Channel Tres, is an undeniable trailblazer in the electronic scene. Paving his own paths and creating a sound unique to himself, the burgeoning artist always has something creative and exciting to share with his fans. His latest release, “Just Can’t Get Enough” marks the newest addition to his discography, ahead of his upcoming debut LP, Real Cultural Shit, arriving this fall.
Sampling from legendary R&B vocalist Teddy Pendergrass, “Just Can’t Get Enough” oozes with all kinds of soulful rhythms and melodies. Channel Tres fills the track with bright horns and a house beat, as a groovy bass line subtly pulses underneath to bring the beat to fruition. The producer’s own vocals make a special appearance, providing a silky smooth performance that sends “Just Can’t Get Enough” over the top.
Channel explained the main source of inspiration behind his music, commenting:
My dad is from Chicago. House music was created there, and over time the music got lost in translation. So, when I studied it and I saw that it was African-American people and Latinos and the LGBTQ community I got really inspired by it.
