Dad Bod Shows a Little “Tenderness” on Dreamy New Indie Track

|||,

Sometimes a slow roll into your morning is the best thing you can do for your health and your sanity. If you feel the need for a laid-back tempo, we’ve got the perfect track for you—“Tenderness” by Salt Lake City, Utah indie outfit, Dad Bod.

Dad Bod has been ascending the ranks of the alt/indie rock world for some time now, championing a sound that blurs the lines of psychedelic, surf rock, and indie. This latest offering utilizes the group’s varying guitars and keys to cycle through twangy loops, all at a dream-inducing pace. The slow slurring vocal layers are the icing on top ensuring we aren’t going anywhere for at least four and a half minutes.

This lackadaisical tune comes from the 6-piece band’s sophomore album, Pastels, released last Friday, October 29th. The project is ten tracks of hazy, chilled-out psych-rock that fans of Khruangbin, Beck, and the like will be sure to enjoy. Sample the new album by streaming “Tenderness” below. Enjoy!
