Daft Punk Is Scoring Legendary Filmmaker Dario Argento’s Newest Project

Robo-legends Daft Punk are hardly strangers to the world of cinema, having created the memorable score for Tron: Legacy back in 2010. Now, the duo is pushing the bounds of their creativity even further, agreeing to score the latest from legendary horror filmmaker Dario Argento.

Commonly referred to as the “Master of Horror,” Argento has confirmed that Daft Punk will be composing the score for his newest film Occhiali Neri which translates in English to Black Glasses. The film is Argento’s first project in 8 years; his daughter, Asia Argento, is set to star in the film.

The film is set in Rome, Argento’s home. Daft Punk has been working on the score remotely, considering current lockdown measures. In fact, the duo themselves initiated contact with Argento when they learned of the project. “They are my admirers, they know all cinema” Argento said of Daft Punk in an interview with Repubblica.

We can’t wait to see what this exciting mega-talent collaboration brings. Look out for more news on Black Glasses.
