Daft Punk Set To Return To The Big Screen To Score ‘Tron 3’

Few members of the EDM hierarchy have accomplished what French duo, Daft Punk, has accomplished. The multi-Grammy Award winning pair have become legends in the industry, even taking their talents to the big screen to write the film score for Disney’s 2010 movie Tron: Legacy. The critically acclaimed score featured an 85-piece orchestra and was composed as a mix of orchestral and electronic music, setting the tone for an expansive computerized world.

Now, ten years after the release of Tron: Legacy, Daft Punk are taking their talents back to the silver screen for the scoring ofTron 3.” If you haven’t listened to the film score of Legacy, I would highly recommend it. Start to finish, the commingling of a professional orchestra with electronic themes on such a massive storytelling scale makes for a very exciting listening experience and the execution was very well done. A release date is yet to be confirmed but needless to say we’ll be anxiously waiting.
