It’s been quite a year for Daniel Allan. Not only has he played some of the biggest festivals like Electric Forest, but he’s also supported The Chainsmokers. Now the innovative producer is back with a banging new EP Duality, out now via Family Affair.
Over the course of 7 tracks, Allan masterfully weaves future bass and stutter house influences. The theme of Duality is the tension between positive and negative, as the vocal sample on the titular opening track explains. Sometimes that takes the form of contrasting lyrical messages and production – like the yearning of featured singer Lyrah on “I Just Need” compared to the hopeful rising synth. Other times that tension is found in the ethereal singing of han.irl<3 and hard-hitting bass from co-producer Rome in Silver on “Elysian Park.”
We’re definitely impressed by the talent we see on this EP and highly recommend you give it a listen below. 2024 is definitely shaping up to look like Allan’s breakout year. Stream Duality below and enjoy!
