DCS Lefty Meshes Hip-Hop and Jazz on Standout Summer Track “Golden”

|||

With a unique style of self proclaimed “left-handed grooves,” combining flavors of hip-hop, funk, and soul, lofi producer DCS Lefty is bringing all kinds of smooth sounds to his track “Golden“. Coming off of his album What Goes Up Must Come Down, “Golden” sends the listener into a state of euphoric bliss to perfectly close out the LP.

Filled with eloquent guitar playing and funky riffs galore, “Golden” feels like a bright summer day. Its laid-back groove settles the listener into the pocket, enveloping them in the bass and drums as they play perfectly in sync. Atmospheric vocals and pads subtly fill the empty spaces of the track to carry the peaceful vibes forward.

Here’s what DCS Lefty had to sat about the making of “Golden”:

Golden is the outro track of my third full length album “What Goes Up Must Come Down”, which is an amalgamation of some of my favorite Hip Hop, Soul, Funk, Jazz, and Reggae I listened to growing up. Golden felt like the perfect song to drive home the project, containing a soulful beat switch that simply feels like victory.
