Deadmau5 Officially Announces Orchestral Album “where’s the drop?” With Full Classical Performance In L.A.

||

Back in January of this year, deadmau5 announced that he was going to be working on an orchestral project for 2018. It’s going to be “the most epic thing I’ve ever done with my music”, he went on to tweet. Clearly this was something that deadmau5 was enthusiastic about and couldn’t wait to share with his fans, and hype began to build. A couple weeks later he hopped on Twitch and broadcasted a livestream of himself teasing a string of these wild orchestral edits. At the time we could only imagine what this project would ultimately look and sound like, but we did know that it would involve a 60-piece orchestra.

We’re now officially only three weeks away from getting to hear deadmau5’s epic orchestral project. Earlier this morning, it was announced that the final product will be released in the form of a studio album recorded by deadmau5, jokingly titled “where’s the drop?” on March 30.

Deadmau5 has also officially partnered with the subscription music streaming service Tidal, and will be hosting a live performance of “where’s the drop” in L.A. on April 1, the day following the album’s release. Those who are subscribed to Tidal will have access to presale tickets to the L.A. performance beginning today, March 7. New Tidal subscribers will be given a 90 day free trial to the service through the presale.

We were blown away by simply listening to the previews that deadmau5 was giving us through his live stream a couple months ago, so to say we are stoked on this new project is an understatement.
