Dear Evergreen Drops Quirky Indie Electronic Single, “Temporary”

If you’re in need of a fresh new artist on the rise then look no further. Los Angeles-based electronic music producer and songwriter, Makalya Meador, creates contemplative, quirky, indie electronica tracks under the alias Dear Evergreen. She cut her teeth sharing the stage with acts such as Dillon Francis, Illenium and Cashmere Cat which isn’t bad company for someone coming fresh out the gate. Today we have her song “Temporary” which is the lead single off her self-produced Temporary EP.

The track shows off her impressive production skills as the track seems to grow and evolve throughout. It starts out with a mellow hip-hop inspired beat that has her singing beautifully over, highlighting her songwriting talents. The song drops into a fuzzy electronic break with gliding vocals on top blending all elements together to create a truly unique indie electronica sound.

Listen to “Temporary” below and be sure to keep an eye out for her sophomore EP due out on April 6.
