Donald Glover To Return As Lando For His Own Star Wars Disney+ Series

Today is a good day if you’re either a Donald Glover or Star Wars fan, or a great day if you’re both.

According to a recent episode of the podcast Kessel Run Radio, hosted by Noah Outlaw, undisclosed sources have confirmed that Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino) will be coming back to the Star Wars universe to reprise his role of a young Lando Calrissian.

Donald Glover originally was cast to play Lando for Solo: A Star Wars Story, back in 2018. The film received polarizing reviews, but an undoubtable highlight for us was Glover’s appearance as smuggler Lando Calrissian (who was originally played by Billy Dee Williams in the original trilogy).

With how much everybody loved The Mandalorian series (we miss you Baby Yoda), this has us giddy with excitement for what’s to come.

Footage of the announcement during the Kessle Run Radio podcast can be found below.
