Exciting New Rapper Earl Hondo Shares Soul-Tinged Album ‘southernplayalistic’

|||, ,

Pennsylvania-born, Atlanta-based rapper and producer Earl Hondo is a bright young talent who deserves your attention. His love for music began at the tender age of 3 where he was involved in his church choir before becoming a star pupil in his high school chorus. Now, the young rapper is carving out a path in hip-hop and has just dropped his latest self-released album southernplayalistic.

Obviously influenced by Outkast and their “Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik” era, Earl Hondo channels his inner Andre 3000 as he reflects on his life’s journey and current place in rap music. The opening track “born sinner” is a soul-tinged jam that finds Earl talking about his flaws and successes. He changes gears on “the vibe” as he slows things down allowing his vivid storytelling to take the forefront. And he proves more than capable of singing on “breathe” which serves as his own version of a love story.

Earl Hondo also handles the production on the entire album and has become one of the most exciting upcoming talents to keep an eye on. Stream southernplayalistic below and enjoy!
