Ekali first started his Awakening mix series back in early 2017, and right off the bat we knew it was going to be a hit. Ekali’s mixing skills have always been impressive, but they way he blends songs together in the Awakening series is next level.
Today Ekali comes through with the fifth installment of the series. While the first few mixes were definitely on the heavier side, "Awakening Mix.5" leans much further into Ekali’s more deeper, emotional style. Instead of huge trap drops, Ekali lays down smooth, futuristic beats by artists like Kasbo, Droeloe, Sam Gellaitry, including some of his own edits.
Instead of just handing us another mix to turn up to, Ekali has provided a change of pace to the Awakening series, and we’re loving it. Listen to “Awakening Mix.5” below and enjoy!
