Australian Duo Flight Facilities Return With Mellow New Single “Arty Boy” ft. Emma Louise

||

Flight Facilities, the indie electronic duo hailing from Australia, have been very quiet for a while. Their debut studio album Down To Earth, which featured their standout single “Crave You”, was released in October of 2014. In 2015 they dropped a six-song remix package and a live album with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra performing a collection of tracks from Flight Facilities’ repertoire. However, they have not shared any new songs since their 2014 album…. Until today.

With help from Future Classic and Glassnote Records, Flight Facilities have unleashed their latest single “Arty Boy” with an accompanying music video. The indie pop track features vocal support from Brisbane singer/songwriter Emma Louise. Emma Louise has worked with Flight Facilities in the past to create their collaborative track “Two Bodies”. Now, their fresh collaboration “Arty Boy” is an incredible resurgence for Flight Facilities.

“Arty Boy” is hypnotic and mellow with funk-synths working alongside Emma’s soothing voice to start the track. Momentum then builds as hand-claps are introduced to pair with sporadic percussion escorting listeners directly into the romantic chorus that brings all of the track’s elements together. The music video for “Arty Boy” is bizarre with an old-school vibe that weirdly revolves around weight-lifting and Arnold Schwarzenegger? Enjoy!
