Kieran Hebden has released a whopping 11 studio albums under his main musical alias, Four Tet. But how much unreleased music is he sitting on? Yesterday, he announced that he will be auctioning off an unreleased album. This LP, which is technically written under his wingdings pseudonym, ⣎⡇ꉺლ༽இ•̛)ྀ◞ ༎ຶ ༽ৣৢ؞ৢ؞ؖ ꉺლ (don’t ask us to pronounce it), will never be released. In fact, in the auction’s description, the album is described as “abandoned.”
For collectors and avid Four Tet fans, this could be a great opportunity to own a very rare piece of vinyl.
The auction is for a heartfelt cause, which aims to raise funds Gig Buddies Bristol. Gig Buddies Bristol aims to empower people with learning disabilities to enjoy live events by pairing them up with new friends that have similar interests, so they can attend events together.
The auction is currently live and at the time of this post, the highest bid sits at 1,000 euros. There are still nearly two weeks left to bid on the album, if you’re feeling bold.
There is going to be an auction of a copy of my unreleased LP. This record is not due to ever be released so this is a unique chance. And it’s for a great cause. Respect to @idlesband for setting this up. https://t.co/b8HkclIOH3
