2023 has been the year Four Tet became a household name, so it only makes sense for him to remix another big name in music, Taylor Swift. He’s been playing his new remix of her classic hit “Love Story” at all his recent sets, and we just can’t get enough of it.
This “Love Story” remix shows why he’s such a masterful selector and producer. Most DJs might shy away from including a T-Swift song in their sets, but not the man renowned for seamlessly pivoting between hard-riddim and pop hits within the same set. He retains the song’s soul, highlighting Swift’s vocals and lyrics, but throws in a stomping 4×4 beat. The result is joyous and infectiously danceable.
Four Tet pulls off a musical feat we very rarely see, creating a banger that unites any type of listener.
