Today we’re excited to be introducing an incredible up-and-coming talent, Frythm to the site. Having made a splash over the past few years his diverse, yet always immaculate range of production styles, today we have the pleasure of premiering his new track “Colors“.
Believe us when we say Frythm cannot be held down to one sound. With his past catalog jumping between R&B, trap, experimental bass & more, today the multi-instrumentalist has called upon his smooth indie side via this latest impressive offering.
“About a year ago I had a somewhat out of body experience, I was laying down on a rooftop with my partner watching a beautiful West Texas sunset. When I turned to look over at her I could see her auras, indescribable shades of orange and yellow glowed while she seemed to blend into the sunset. As day turned to night the shades of the outside world faded, but her colors did not.” – Frythm
Starting off with some gentle, warbling keys, Frythm’s passionate voice slowly floats in atop a crisp, filtered drum loop. Dipping in and out of bright, oozy verses to wonky guitar and synth filled breaks, the LA-based artist puts his musicality on display through the entirety of this three-minute sonic adventure.
Stream “Colors” below and keep an eye out for Frythm’s new album Flow, set to drop May 15 on SXN (a.k.a soulfulxnature). Enjoy!
