Both Ghastly and Barely Alive are known for their extreme high energy when it comes to production and their live sets. Today, the two champions of in your face bass music come together to release their first collaboration to date, “Fake U Out.”
“Fake U Out” stays true to its title. During the moments leading up to the first drop, we were certain the two were going to throw us into a maniacal bass house beat. But within just two measures of that drop, the track pivots into skull rattling trap banger.
From then on it almost sounds like Ghastly and Barely Alive are switching back and forth between two different tracks, like a DJ throwing the crossfader back and forth. That specific style is a very unique way of sharing a collaboration, and it’s executed perfectly by these two.
Crowds always loved to be “faked out” during live sets, and we can bet that we’re going to be hearing this one get dropped heavily on the festival circuit this year. Prepare yourselves and enjoy!
