Gilligan Moss provided us with only top shelf vibes all summer long. Their music bounces between funky, danceable, and laidback and is all done without taking themselves too seriously. The Chicago bred, Brooklyn based duo are back to light up these soon to be colder days with a deluxe edition of their self-titled debut album.
Recorded over the course of three years in a handful of different locations, the album, Gilligan Moss, combined the duo’s love of seventies records and dance music – both modern and early. The original 13-track affair, featured lush dance vibes, fluttering instrumentation, steady kick drums and ethereal vocals. The deluxe work features remixes, reworks, and covers from friends including Young & Sick, Holiday87, SuperParka, Cyril Hahn, Mindchatter and new music from Gilligan Moss themselves.
