Los Angeles / Atlanta producer Gravez first popped up on our radar when he accompanied Ta-Ku on a remix of Flume & Chet Faker’s “Left Alone,” reworking the track beyond recognition. Now he’s taken a new approach on a vibey remix of Goldlink.
Goldlink’s debut album And After That We Didn’t Talk is a great listen from start to finish, with “Zipporah” being one of the more unique sounds on the project. Gravez has taken this track on for a silky remix, using a smooth R&B spin that really highlights the original’s gospel style of vocals. He removed the piano replacing it with sultry, bouncing synths and added his own syncopated drums and running, blip synths that hit just right give the track a more electronic feel. Gravez will team up with Goldlink and Sango for select tour dates in Toronto, Boston, & Philadelphia on Goldlink’s US/Canada spring tour. Stream below and enjoy!
