Gorillaz continue their insane album rollout with another new track featuring Pusha T and Mavis Staples! This incredible new collaboration “Let Me Out” folllows up previous singles “Hallelujah Money”, “Saturn Barz”, “Andromeda”, “We Got The Power”, and “Ascension”.
With their album Humanz due April 28, Gorillaz mastermind Damon Albarn has joined Zane Lowe for the premiere of their latest single and had an interview with the Beats 1 host. Albarn shared he has 40-45 Gorillaz songs that didn’t make the cut on the 26-track album he’s working on finished up.
Pusha T recently linked up with Flume on their experimental collaboration "Enough" and shows off his versatility once again alongside the Gorillaz. Speaking of versatility, It’s really incredible to see Gorillaz’s ability to do so many different sounds across the Humanz singles as we’ve heard everything from gospel to dancehall to wild hip-hop and now this track blending indie, hip-hop and electronic elements on one song. “Let Me Out” builds upon the strength of past singles as the album is shaping up to be amazing.
In Zane's interview with Pusha we learned that Damon Albarn explained the album concept as an end of the world party for if Trump were to win the election, that there will be at least 5 Gorillaz performances and that Albarn is a beast at ping pong. Enjoy!
