The rumors were true! After teasing their new The Song Machine project earlier this week, Gorillaz have released the first single titled “Momentary Bliss” and this track is a straight up party. Teaming up with rapper, slowthai and punk rock duo Slaves, Gorillaz jump into the realm of indie music with a major splash.
Kicking off with a dreamy, distorted guitar line, Gorillaz take a quick left turn as a high energy bassline lays a dynamic foundation for slowthai’s signature vocals. Slaves then jumps in with some vigorous guitar chords and the group is off to the races. This much fun in one track should be illegal, but wow am I happy its not. “Momentary Bliss” is an absolute crowd jumping, head banging party starter and we can’t wait to see what comes next from Gorillaz The Song Machine.
