GRiZ Announces He Will Play At Meow Wolf’s Vortex Festival

GRiZ is probably one of the most influential figures in electronic music, especially in the city of Denver. Only he could have the power to tweet out an impending Free Shows For The People and bring out thousands of fans to see him. That’s exactly what he did yesterday as he gathered a ridiculous amount of people to The Junkyard, Meow Wolf’s dedicated outdoor space.

The power of social media was on full display as thousands of fans showed up to the mostly empty parking lot boasting one small stage, a couple food trucks, and thankfully, a few porta pottys. Maddy O’Neal, fresh off a run of shows in the Colorado mountains, graced the crowd with an all house DJ set before GRiZ took the stage to play one of his iconic FSFTP sets.

After his set, GRiZ announced that he will playing this year’s Vortex Music Festival, Meow Wolf’s Immersive Outdoor summer festival. Last year’s headliners included Toro y Moi, Bob Moses, and 100 gecs and proved to be a unique experience for the city of Denver. With GRiZ announcing as a headliner, it only means bigger and better things are to come for the young festival.

Ugh such a goooooood time today in Denver!!! Vibes were ✨ pic.twitter.com/7OM54UscJV
