Earlier this year, Rainbow Kitten Surprise abruptly canceled the rest of their tour dates in 2023, including upcoming performances at Bonnaroo and Hulaween. The band took to social media to explain the cancellation, stating that “one of our members is in a medical crisis.”
The decision has been honored by fans and industry colleagues alike but the band will surely be missed on their 2023 tour circuit. This past weekend, GRiZ filled in for RKS by performing a special Chasing the Golden Hour set for festival-goers.
In an act of true class, GRiZ paid homage to the band with an unreleased remix of their hit single “It’s Called: Freefall.” The remix flips the iconic indie folk song into a melodic dubstep anthem that surely RKS will be proud of. Check out the clip below.
