It might be September 1st, but that doesn’t mean summer’s over. Just in time for the Labor Day weekend, Hayden James and AR/CO bring us the late summer anthem “We Could Be Love,” out now via Future Classic.
The melodic-techno pop “We Could Be Love” showcases the best of James’ signature uplifting synth lines. With its soaring, euphoric melodies and dance floor-forward beat, this song is instantly addictive.
The highlight of this track though, is the glittering vocals of AR/CO, who describe their sound as “MGMT meets Daft Punk at a dusty desert rave.” Combined with the bright tambourine accents, their echoing voices give this track a timeless feel and a dose of sentimentality. It reminds us of the feeling of driving home from the beach with the windows down, wind ruffling our hair, warm from the golden, late afternoon-sun.
Here’s what James had to say about creating this song with the AR/CO duo:
“I loved writing this record with the crazy talented AR/CO legends. This song feels like it was made for the heat of summer with the super dreamy gang vocals and 90’s rave vibes. I’m really excited for people to hear this one.”
Make sure to give “We Could Be Love” a listen below. Enjoy!
