At the beginning of 2017, Hayden Kramer a.k.a. Herobust told fans, "New Year. New EP. New Tour." The big announcement was shortly followed by the title track of his Vertebreaker EP and we were seriously impressed. A couple weeks later, he dropped a heavy hybrid trap single called "Dirt Heater Tea" and delivered once again. Herobust has continually put out quality, forward-thinking productions that continually push the boundaries of bass music, making him one of our favorites to cover at TSIS.
His six-track Vertebreaker EP is now available in it's entirety and doesn't disappoint in the slightest.
"It goes hard at the rave. It goes hard in the whip. I always try to push the boundaries of bass music, but this time I really wanted the rap vibes to shine through as well. For those of us who think EDM has been missing some swag, the answer is here – the Vertebreaker EP." – Herobust
Herobust puts his vocals to the test on this project and does a great job. In "Heavy Meddle", he blends metal and dubstep into one filthy track. The ground seems to literally shake in "Move Mint" and incorporates metallic bass synths. "Status Busted" is one of the most interesting track off the project though as he creates this incredibly vivid space scene with tinny, robotic elements and blips.
At the beginning of last year, Herobust dropped his I'm Aloud EP on Mad Decent which consisted of eight epic dubstep and trap tracks. We're glad to see him turnaround another amazing EP in early 2017 and feel he's just getting started. Stream the Vertebreaker EP below and let us know what you think of it in the comment section. Enjoy!
