Someone From The Internet Dug Up The Original Samples Of Over 300 Of Your Favorite Hip-Hop Songs From 2010-2016 : Watch

Since the beginning of hip-hop, samples have always been a huge part of genre's culture. One YouTube channel has taken the time to highlight over 300 hip-hop songs since 2010 showing the original samples used in each track’s instrumental. The collage includes just about every big rapper: Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Drake, Kaytranada, Joey Bada$$, Chance The Rapper, J Cole, A$AP Rocky, Travis Scott, A Tribe Called Quest, Mac Miller, NxWorries, Tory Lanez, Childish Gambino, Isaiah Rashad, Logic and many, many more.

To show the before and after, they plays a clip of the original sampled song followed by the hip-hop song sampling it. While listening through, you’ll hear some original songs that you immediately recognize and know exactly what hip-hop song sampled it as they simply borrow a section of the original. Others are much more obscure as the producer will grab one specific sound or melody and re-arrange & distort it to create something entirely different. A lot of these caught me off guard to say the least.

The creativity of these producers is insane as they find such random sounds from songs, cartoons, commercials and even a printer that are utilized to their fullest potential. For those of you that enjoy discovering what samples are used in your favorite hip-hop songs, there’s actually a website Whosampled.com that shows these and where they appear each the song. There's 17 videos below in total. Shout out to whoever put this together and Enjoy!
