Upon first listen to Ian Eks’s music, we were intrigued by his fresh spin on the house genre. In fact, as long as what he is creating “all falls under the umbrella of dance music,” Eks’s creativity knows no bounds. His new track, “Pacer,” is the next chapter in the rising artist’s sonic journey.
Leaning into a house-inspired groove, Ian begins “Pacer” with a snappy, swung beat that immediately got us dancing. Coupled with warm synth chords and a deep sub, this track is a true club weapon. Eks’s use of warbling synths as the key rhythmic element in “Pacer” pushes the track forward with effortless ease, while vocal chops in the distance provide an entrancing melody and also act as an atmospheric element, adding depth to the production as a whole.
