Longtime underground bass producer, ill.gates, has proved that age is but just a number. With music dating all the way to 2008, to say he’s had a major impact on the evolution of bass music is an understatement. He just recently released his latest album, Bent, and we couldn’t resist sharing it with you.
ill.gates has always managed to manipulate sounds in a wildly unique way without taking himself too seriously. With an opening track like “Bezos!,” one that’s filled with a cinematic choir chanting the famed billionaire’s name, it’s hard to not to laugh a little bit. Other tracks span a wide range of genres, including but not limited to drum n bass, breakbeat, dubstep, experimental bass, and glitch.
Bent features three polarizing remixes from ill.gates to further diversify the project. Notable features also include, Lodestone, Spiderhound, KNARD, Dwelm, Bil Bless, Kandisha, Munchii, Mayor Apeshit, Mr. Bill, and Wolfstax.
