Watch IT’S THE SHIP Recap: Asia’s Version Of Holy Ship With David Hasseloff As The Captain

After watching the ridiculous IT’S THE SHIP recap, it's safe to say this event looks like a good time. The festival is Asia’s impressive version of the popular Holy Ship. Setting sail out of Singapore, the festival gives attendees the chance to hear some of their favorite artists in a setting unlike any other and has the most legendary captain, David Hasselhoff himself. Today IT’S THE SHIP dropped their 2016 aftermovie, and it’s one of the most ridiculous and epic recaps of a festival we’ve ever seen.

The aftermovie goes into a surprising amount of detail. Beyond some of the notable artist performances like that of Dada Life, Andrew Rayel, Knife Party and Sander van Doorn, the video shows all of the interactive elements the ship itself has to offer, from gambling to group exercise classes to a massive rock climbing wall. Another notable standout is the stop the cruise makes in Penang, Malaysia. This unique aspect of the event gave attendees the opportunity to enjoy a place entirely new, including the diverse nightlife and delicious food Malaysia has to offer.

Despite all of these interesting elements, the most unbelievable part of the aftermovie was none other than David Hasselhoff getting the party started as the ship’s captain – you really have to see it to believe it.

While this year’s lineup hasn’t been dropped yet, IT’S THE SHIP has already announced that in 2017 they’ll be stopping in the gorgeous Phuket, Thailand over the weekend of November 17-20. Early bird tickets are available now. In the meantime, check out the 2016 aftermovie below and enjoy!
