Over the course of just a few years, Jai Wolf has quickly risen to the spotlight with his intricate indie-electronic sound. The Bangladesh-born producer made waves with his Kindred Spirits EP last fall, solidifying his place in the music world with his dreamy, emotive signature. Arguably the most well received track from the EP was “Indian Summer,” Jai Wolf’s first ever single that channeled an eastern style of music and became a beloved song for music fans across genres. Over two years after its initial release date we finally get to see the official video for “Indian Summer,” and it couldn’t be a better visual pairing for this stunning release.
Part of Jai Wolf, AKA Sajeeb Saha’s, inspiration for this video came from his childhood growing up in the United States. The artist mainly saw white actors playing leading roles in music videos, but wanted someone more representative of his heritage for “Indian Summer.” For that reason and more he chose Assad Keval, an Indian actor, for the leading spot in this project.
The video follows Keval as he backpacks throughout some of the most stunning locations the world has to offer. He sees a little bit of everything, including beaches, deserts, forests, mountains, fields of flowers and more. Most compelling about the video, though, is all the people who he meets that help him out throughout the way. We couldn’t have imagined a more fitting way to visually represent “Indian Summer.” Check it out below and enjoy!
