Jonathan Cassanova, aka Jay Cass, is a rising producer and multi-instrumentalist hailing from Long Island, NY. As a former hip hop producer, he’s putting his own unique spin on his current dance-focused productions that draw influence from producers like Kaytranada, Disclosure and Kenny Beats. Today, he’s making his TSIS debut with his latest self-released track, “Show Me How To Love.”
Much like the title suggests, the song was inspired by love. Jay Cass uses a lightly pitched vocal loop as the centerpiece of the bouncy production that refrains “show me how to love.” A swinging drum beat provides just the right amount of energy while a groovy bassline and smooth synthwork drive home the moody vibe. Jay’s hip hop influence is felt throughout the track but none more apparent than the sexy tempo switch up at the near halfway mark.
