Jerry Folk Shares Soulful, Bouncy New Single “Make A Wish” & Describes It As Kaytranada Type Beat

If you’ve been following us for a while, chances are you’ve seen Jerry Folk pop up quite a few times over the past couple of years. But from refreshing remixes to his unique, funky originals, the Oslo-born producer barely gives us a chance to catch our breath between releases. Even having recently dropped incredible remixes of Jeremih’s “Birthday Sex” and Charlie Puth's "How Long", he’s already returned with his first original of 2018 – “Make A Wish.”

Jerry definitely channels his inner Kaytranada for this latest soulful offering. Starting off slow with some soft chimes and a sample from the 1971 Willy Wonka, some gentle sax and a thumping kick quickly progress the track into a groovy chorus filled with retro, talkbox vocal chops, energetic percussion and a bouncy bassline. It’s no wonder Jerry’s describing this as “kaytranadatypebeat.wav”. Check out “Make A Wish” below and make sure to catch Jerry Folk on his US tour starting Feb. 7 (tickets here). Enjoy!
