Jordan Rakei can do it all. The talented artist has an angelic voice, can effortlessly play multiple instruments and produces much of his own music. Now he’s back with a new 11-track album Origin that puts this refined skill set on full display. This serves as the follow-up to Rakei’s impressive 2017 project Wallflower that we’ve been coming back to frequently for the past couple years.
On his third full-length LP, Rakei’s sound is dialed in from start to finish. He maintains an alternative R&B sound while incorporating elements of soul, jazz, hip-hop and more to create his distinct sound. The production is undeniably smooth pairing acoustic instrumentation alongside slick electronic synths laying the foundation for the dreamy vocals to soar throughout. We’ll surely have this one on repeat for a minute and hope you will too. Check out the new project via Nina Tune below and enjoy!
